The elusive self is one's worst enemy. While shooting, I was influenced by Eraserhead, specifically the feeling of worldly oppression the protagonist seems to be under. A working title was "Institutional Living"; the film is about the sedated lifestyle of letting the things you own, own you.
My piece is an experimental narrative that explores the role of women and how they are defined through their headdress. Headscarves and coverings have been used to oppress and empower women. It has been a place of resistance and the claiming of identity.

Erin, a young and spirited girl, runs from the constant stress and abuse of her home. She returns and realizes despite her rebellion, there is nothing that will stop her parents from fighting.

Rel Klein documents her visit to Israel on Birthright through a series of pictures and videos.
The government has put together an organization that's soul purpose is to track down the anomalous creatures of the planet. These consist of bigfoot, the loch-ness monster, and various other cryptids in all sorts of folklore. The organization was recently able to capture a new species of highly intelligent creatures of canine origin, and three highly ranking scientists decide to run some field tests. After throwing a prisoner sentenced to death throw as a volunteer into the holding chamber of the canines, they're quickly able to realize that the creatures are able to manipulate human voices. With this ability, they're able to toy with the prisoner for their own enjoyment, and plot their escape.
A mysterious Jedi crash lands on a forest covered planet after an assault on an imperial base and stealing a sith wayfinder. He seeks out help after told a rumor that there is a duo of cryptic warriors who live amongst an abandoned military bunker. After losing a lightsaber battle to the two of them, they decide to protect him throughout his journey in return for some hefty pay.
This film was a collaborative project filmed in three different states during the COVID-19 pandemic. Each character was in a separate state and connected through editing and the mystical aspects present in the script. I worked with filmmakers in a production class at Ithaca College to create the film.
