THE ABOUT PAGE

I'm Kyle Harrison Friedman, an enthusiastic film and theatre creator with a robust background in producing and directing. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Cinema Production from Ithaca College, complemented by a minor in Theatre Studies. My passion has led me to study and work in diverse locations such as Los Angeles, San Jose, New York City, Japan, and London.
My creative journey has been marked by recognition, including nominations for esteemed awards such as The Student Academy, YUGO Bafta, and Princess Grace Awards. In 2021, I orchestrated the production of "Rye Bread," a project that garnered attention for amplifying Jewish voices and for its collaboration with Theatre Authority to raise funds for the Anti-Defamation League.
Through my creative endeavors, I craft surrealist narrative short films and plays that serve as vehicles to explore the intricate nuances of the human experience. By shining a light on life's absurdities, I aim to evoke laughter and connection from audiences. Each project I embark upon is grounded in principles of fostering a strong community, offering educational elements, working efficiently, and cultivating an environment of fun, succinctly captured in the acronym CEEF.
Ultimately, my objective is to create art that not only offers catharsis to audiences but also brings fulfillment and joy to everyone involved in its creation. For a more detailed overview of my experiences, please refer to my resume below.
